McGregor Gala: Sports & Pastimes
The idea of a “gala” is considered classy and formal. CCMSH wanted to lean into this while also showcasing McGregor photographs that matched the theme, “Sports & Pastimes”, and utilizing the 1930s – 1940s style from Doc McGregor’s time. From this, I created a classy, yet nostalgic campaign to capture the formality of the fundraiser and the importance of Doc McGregor’s work to the Museum.
Logo
The McGregor Gala logo was inspired by the Art Deco style, which was popular in the 1920s and 30s—clean lines, geometric shapes, and minimal design. The camera illustration is a collection item that the museum has out on display in their “McGregor Gallery.” It’s a camera used in the 50s by the brand Voightlander. I thought it only appropriate to utilize what the museum has rather than something searched up.
Collateral
All collateral in this campaign is connected through the history and nostalgia of Doc McGregor’s images.

Event Program
The Gala program is meant to let attendees know the information and occurrences of the night. A portion of the program acts as a mini annual report showcasing each department’s achievements for the year and what the museum expects to do for the following year.
